Evolved Windows OS
For some time I decided to be The Darwin of Microsoft
Operating System. Unlike Charles Darwin, I need some kind of time
machine. Actually , I hoped into VMWare virtual machine and with awe
thrill, I landed on MS-DOS 4.0! At first, the entire experience was like
looking for a needle in an hay stack. The installation process was
hectic, I felt how Mark Zbikowski went through while implementing this
evolutionary software architectural piece. The Command Line interpreting
my commands was akin to holding rocket launcher on my shoulders - talk
of big guns bro when describing this. Much as it has a lot of power ; it
likes to nag, no wonder it was dumped. who would like nags? NOT Me.
The Orangutan MSDOS 4.0 lost its hunch back and became MSDOS 6.22.
Just like its predecessor, it nags a little but with a lot of commands.
No mouse support to issue commands. I toyed with it a little and send it
to extinction.
Windows 3.1. This is the homo errectus version of windows operating system. Although it depends on the previous ugly MSDOS 6.22 to install, it was cute with its colourful graphics and mouse support. This version bore programmers with its support of visual basic. Looking it gives you an oxymoron nostalgia. Why? Because you become nostalgic and yet you never used it in its entirety.
The Homo abilis of windows is windows 95. Graphical installation and graphical user interface that could be a perfect gift to a nerdy girlfriend on valentines day. The throwback with this is the tortoise speed as compared with the previous epic windows.
I have left Homo sapiens and Homo sapien sapiens of windows for future scrutinity when I will be 40.
Too many windows where open during the entire process. upon clossing them I was greeted with a lovely serene windows 7. Phew! I was dreaming...NOT
